I personaly don't like he

I personaly don't like baitcast that much. I seem to be using an ultra light rod or a light rod with very small line and don't use anything really heavy.

From what I gather Baitcast is for Heavier rigs and line.
If your having trouble bringing in the big fish then you should be looking into a baitcast

What size line are you using with it?
Do you tighten down the break and practice with it?

Baitcaster's are all about control. Nearly plash less bait entry can be accomplished with the baitcast.

Try using spiderline. I

Try using spiderline. I usually go two up from my reel line weight.

if the reel says 4 lbs put 6 lbs on, should work on your baitcaster.

Good luck!
