Just thought you should know.

Sport Fishing Regulation Changes that will be effective on March 1, 2010

Anglers will no longer have to display their sport fishing license on their outer clothing above the waist, but their sport fishing license must still be in their possession while fishing.

River Walk Trout

I got this one on the 16th of Feb.  Jig and a meal worm. Four pounds on the dot.  My best of the year, or better yet the season out here at River Walk.

Bakersfield River Walk Report 2-27-2010

Despite the very good reports River Walk fishing was not on today.
The trout were very close to the shore at times, Swirling almost at the shoreline.
Granted the weather was bad from time to time there were points were the sky's were blue and during those times out of the 10-15 Fisherman only one person caught a single trout and three very small bass.

There was speculation that the plant truck never came this week. Despite multiple sources saying there was a trout plant. A couple of the local River Walk fisherman said they had fished all week and didn't see any plant trucks.

I don't know if they planted or not but from the lack of activities it sure seemed as though they didn't

River Walk Trout are on right now.
There has been two plantings recently and the fish are biting.

Reports on the new Garlic Mint Power Bait Dip seems to be the key.

Truxtun Lake and Ming Lake have also received multiple plantings recently.

From the looks of it this will be the last trout plant for a while.

LAKE ISABELLA: There has continued to be a fair to good catfish bite at Engineer Point on frozen shad with most fish pan-sized up to four pounds. The odd good largemouth also continues to be caught, but not very many smaller fish are being landed. There is a fair trout bite at the auxiliary dam on nightcrawlers and floating dough baits. Other species are slow.
