Going to be busy today. Working on fixing some thing that broke durring the storm yesterday. I did have a chance to go out to Truxtun and fish for some bass durring lunch before I went home to find things broke.
The fish seemed spooked thought. Maybe a bit early after the storm.

i just moved to the area was thinking bout fishing the lake tomorow my self but is it true you can only fish it certain times of the year and only certain areas if so where would i get the info needed to follow rules
Lake Ming is one of the only lakes I know of that you can't fish durring certain times. This is mainly due to boat racing.
Lake Ming - only from the shoreline. You can fish from the entire shoreline from October 1 through March 31. From April 1 through April 30, you can fish from the undeveloped lakeshore areas.
If a lake is within a park you will have to abide by the park hours also.
Agree with Dave here. Went out to Lake Ming for the first time the other day. The number of rules applied to the lake for fishing and boating is just unbelieveable. Especially if factoring in the fine they imposed on violations.
For example, they have specific hour allot for different type of boats (power boat vs sail boat). I was informed by a park ranger that the ticket for putting wrong type of boat in the water at the time wrong time is a $2500!!!
He also mentioned since all boat must constantly be moving while on the lake. Therefore, if your motor ever breaks down, park ranger can write you a ticket too.
Of course, there is also that fishing from shoreline in a none designated area ticket.... OMG!!!
I wish I could Going to be
